The Britlantic academic curriculum is designed to meet the contemporary needs.
The pupils at the institution are intended to equip with knowledge and skills in English, Science, Maths, Computer Science, History, Geography, Modern Foreign Languages, Communication for Development, Arts and spiritual, moral, social and cultural development. The curriculum at the institution is thought provoking, pragmatic, the latest research based and also grounded in philosophy of the subject.
Scholastic Curriculum
National Curriculum of England is basis for our curriculum. The Institution offers very comprehensive and balanced curriculum which is: the most relevant to the contemporary needs of the students; sensitive to religious, social, cultural, color, moral diversity; embedded with cutting edge technologies; improving the sense of active learning, learning by doing and activity orientation; addresses the real-world issues and also applicability; flexible for adaption in diverse situations; fostering creative, analytical, critical thinking and problem solving abilities; inducing the leading abilities along with life skills; improving the cognitive, personal, social, physical, spiritual, moral development; and integrated with effective assessment and evaluation methods.
Extra-Curricular Activities
Extra-curricular activities are the part and parcel of our academic curriculum. The Britlantic School is a platform where all students avail opportunities and support to explore their non-academic talent. “A sound body have sound mind” is one of the basic principle of the school. The institution has hired special instructors of sports, life skills, communication skills etc. The Britlantic leadership is committed to work with every pupil in exploring its career prospects and equipping with necessary coaching and tools to do so.
Active-Learning Approach
The curriculum at Britlantic is principally designed on active learning approach. Active learning is teachings approach that actively engaging student with the subject matter through question-answering, group discussions, problem solving, projects, case studies, demonstration, presentations, role plays and other methods. Active learning approaches is actually leaning by doing, a learner have to perform the given task while passive learning approaches is unidirectional transfer of information i.e. lectures, but instructor guidance is still crucial in the active learning classroom. These activities vary in length from a few minutes to whole class sessions or over multiple class sessions.
Interdisciplinary & Pragmatic
The Britlantic School is not only inculcated the subject-matter but also its real-world application. The teachers demonstrate the application and students practically perform the theoretical concepts in order to learn real-world scenarios. Humanities, languages, life skills, communication skills are equally significant as the STEM subjects. The teaching approach is holistic and interdisciplinary for integrating knowledge and skills across multiple subject areas to provide a more deep understanding of concepts.
Character Building
The Islamic principles are driving force for the Britlantic schools curriculum. Muslim students, like any other group of students, are individuals with diverse personalities, interests, and backgrounds. But the character of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is role model for them. They always tend to transform their lives according to the teaching of Quran and Sunnah i.e. honesty, modesty, integrity, respect for all irrespective of color, creed, or religion, respect for female students. There is Character Building Scociety at the school which arrange seminars, debate competitions, interrogative session with students about Islam, Islamic scholars lectures etc. to inspire the student to be a good Muslim.
Cultural Exchange
The Britlantic International School encourages all the students to live with your cultural norms and also exchange with your schoolmates. It is one of the most distinctive features of the school. There is weekly cultural exchange session arranged at the school. In it instructor invites the global students from various cultures to come and present your culture. This activity provides opportunity to know about diversity of cultures and it also minimizes the cultural differences among students.
